Ich habe in den letzten Tagen öfters Anfragen wegen eine nicht Vga Version von meinen Images bekommen. Diese würden dann mit dem Axim x50 und x51 funktionieren. Jetzt habe ich über das Wochenende meinen Rechner neue Images für alles Dell Axims bauen lassen. Ich konnte die nicht Vga Version leider nicht testen, da ich so ein Gerät nicht besitze sollte aber normal funktionieren. Jetzt müssten sich nur ein paar Kernel Entwickler finden lassen die an der Hardwareunterstützung weiter arbeiten. :-) Werde natürlich auch selber ein bisschen probieren :-).
Aber vorher werde ich mein midp gps Projekt noch fertigstellen. kann sich aber nur noch um Stunden / Tage handeln :-)

i have a little problem, hope you could help me.
I wanted to try GNU/Linux on my axim x51v and followed your instructions on http://law.hostsen.net/oe/axim/README and what i get is:
--haret loads up the image, ok
--i see that linux starts to load, but i get a message: looking up port of rpc 10003/2 on 10.0.0.1 and then it says it cannot find root-nfs then it says using default and last a kernel panic saying that cannot syncing: vfs: unable to mount root fs on unknow-block(2,0)
i did put mirror mode, and:
wifi on and bluetooth on
wifi off and bluetooth off
wifi on and bluetooth off
wifi off and bluetooth off
in the file log that haret produces says Opening file initrd Failed to load file \SD Card\initrd
What did i miss, in this page http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/x50vHowTo
it says it has to be on the cradle, is it true?

did you already build a second partition on your sd card? where you but the rootfs on it?
Yes, i have, i have one sd of 1gb and two partitions, one with fat32 with 10mb and the other is ext2 with the rest of the size, in my pc when i put the card i can see the contents of the ext2 partition.
perhaps you should try it with a smaller sd card, i read of problem with cards bigger then 1 gb.
ok, i will try with a 512mb card, but do you think if i make a smaller partition for linux would solve the problem
